Casting and banishing a circle

You will need with you all of the ingredients to be used in your spell, your white cord and a bowl of spring water and salt which has been mixed together. Form your cord into a circle, starting in the east and place your consecrated tools and ingredients into the centre. Sprinkle your cord with the water and salt mixture to seal the ends. Turn deosil (clockwise) around the circle, sprinkling the rest of the cord with the mixture whilst repeating the following invocation.
"Angels of the light, place the protection of thy spirits into this circle. Share with me the power of good to work my art. Protect me from the negative forces without. I thank thee"

You are now ready to cast your spell.

Banishing the circle

After your spell is complete you must close your circle to ensure that the spell is put into motion.

Turn to the point at which you began your circle and walk widdershins (anti clockwise) around the circle until you end up where you began. Say,"I give thanks to those spirits who have helped me this day (or night) and leave with you my plea for the successful outcome of my labours." Still moving in a widdershins direction, pick up the tools and ingredients and place them outside of the circle, blow out any candles and say,"So mote it be".

This ensures that all things are closed and finished.
