The Craft You are The Craft. The magic is inside of you.
When working spells you will feel a surge of energy gushing up inside yourself, don't be afraid of this. It is this energy inside of ourselves that makes things happen. Our bodies contain almost every element and mineral that is to be found in nature, therefore there is a link between the earth and us from even before we are born. This is what we have forgotton. You must find that link again, feel it flowing through your body again, let it take us over when working spells. The tools that witches use are mainly a focus on which to concentrate all of these energies and direct them into the subject and content of the spell in progress. I tend to think of casting spells more of wishcraft than witchcraft. As you repeat the spell over and over in your mind, after the casting of it, the spell becomes a subconcious thought and is much more powerful.
There are quite a few rituals used in the craft and these are mainly a matter of choice and are used best in group and coven work. The main rituals that you do need to observe are the cleansing and consecrating rituals and those of casting and banishing the circle. These must be observed strictly before and after any spell casting.
The following pages will introduce you to the tools most regularly used in the craft. It is completly up to you which you prefer to use, if any. You may just as well decide to use the power of your mind to visualise and work the spells. Tools are not compulsary but I find that they do help to focus more on the task at hand, especially for casting the circle and pointing.
Remember, it's up to you.
Always follow your instinct.
